“Good Rivals”
Nominated for Best Docu-Series at the 2023 Sports Emmys, this Amazon show details the complex US/Mexico soccer dynamic on and off the pitch. Debuting on Amazon just before the 2022 World Cup, featuring stars past and present from both sides, alongside commentary from soccer journalist (and producer) Grant Wahl, who would sadly pass away in Qatar only days after we wrapped.

The Crossroads of History, Ep 2 “Lincoln”
Final scene from the second episode of “The Crossroads of History,” based on the true story of Lincoln’s bodyguard unknowingly drinking with John Wilkes Booth moments before the assassination.
As music supervisors, we normally went with era-appropriate score (which was a fun weekly research project in of itself), but at certain key moments we’d utilize something more modern to make a statement.

Absolut “I’m Here”
A 30min short about robots falling in love in an LA in the not-too-distant future, you can see writer/director Spike Jonze playing with many of the themes of he would later revisit in “Her.” The 2 leads bond over their love of The Lost Trees, a (fictional) band whose music was created in reality by Nick Zinner (The Yeah Yeah Yeahs), Kevin Barnes (Of Montreal), Aska Matsumiya, and Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers). Between assembling that indie supergroup, compiling a soundtrack with the likes of Sleigh Bells, Animal Collective, and Girls, and overseeing the original score by Sam Spiegel and Brent Nichols, the project was an amazing opportunity for a music supervisor.
